Austin Cook shoots 64 to take CareerBuilder Challenge lead

LA QUINTA, Calif. (AP) — Austin Cook hit a hybrid into the fairway bunker on the par-4 18th on a breezy Saturday afternoon at La Quinta Country Club, then chunked a wedge and raced a chip 20 feet past the hole.

The final two automatic women’s big air/slopestyle snowboard spots were claimed Saturday at the fifth and final U.S. Olympic team qualifier at Mammoth Mountain, Calif., where Julia Marino and Hailey Langland finished second and third, respectively, behind Jamie Anderson in the women’s slopestyle snowboard finals. Jenson is behind those three in qualification points, putting her in contention for a potential fourth spot to be announced via discretionary selection this week.
