Letter to the editor: Little earned praise for health care efforts

Little earned praise for health care efforts

Received Jan. 12

Obamacare is costing Idaho and its citizens a great deal. Despite the promises made by the Obama Administration, our business and citizens are paying far more in health insurance premiums than before Obamacare was implemented.

I am disappointed that Congress, despite the efforts of our state’s delegation in both the House and Senate, have not been able to repeal Obamacare.

I am pleased by the efforts of our Lt. Gov. Brad Little to help make available health insurance plans in our state outside of Obamacare. The addition of these plans will not only provide Idahoans more choices in their insurance coverage, but also provide more competition in the insurance industry which will benefit consumers with lower rates and improved levels of coverage.

Brad Little, in his efforts to help guide the state’s economic development efforts understands the adverse effects Obamacare has had on Idaho small business. His efforts to make health insurance more affordable should be commended.
