In his five decades in baseball, UCLA coach John Savage had never seen an injury like the one pitcher Jon Olsen sustained when he was hit in the face by a line drive last month.

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota Duluth squeaked into the NCAA Tournament — and celebrated like crazy when it was over.

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Jake Evans scored his second goal of the game with 5.2 seconds left and Notre Dame beat Michigan 4-3 on Thursday in the Frozen Four semifinals.
